Health Benefits of Blueberries
SCROLL ON if you DNC about the nerdiness of why bloobs are amazing. Blueberries may be small but they pack a lot of bang for their buck in the nutrition department. At just 80 calories per 1 cup serving, they are a good source of fiber, vitamin C and are high in manganese (1). Blueberries also contain an important class of phytonutrient called anthocyanins which give them their blue hue. A recent study, the longest randomized-controlled trial to date re: blueberry nutrition, showed a 15% reduction in cardiovascular disease risk in participants who ate one cup of blueberries a day (2). So, aside from being delish – they’re super nutrish.
