No, men won’t develop man boobs from eating normal amounts of soy (1). A 2010 review found the clinical evidence in humans overwhelmingly does not support the hypothesis that reasonable intake of isoflavones negatively impact male fertility or cause feminization (1).
What about women and breast cancer?
Soy is safe for women who do have or have had breast cancer. A recent 2012 study of over 9,500 women post-diagnosis of breast cancer found a reduced risk of breast cancer recurrence with soy intake (2).
