Whether you’re headed to a “favorite things party,” grabbing a gift for a friend, planning stocking stuffers or want to expand your kitchen tools, these are the best kitchen gadgets under $10!
Recently I went to a “favorite things party” for the first time. If you don’t know what that is, it’s where a group of friends (usually girls because ya know… we love to share favorites), and you bring three (or whatever set number) of one of your favorite things! You set them out with a number next to them, and draw numbers for what favorite things of others you pick up and get to take home with you. It was a total blast, except that I didn’t know what a favorite things party was so I brought three different items – whoops!

Now, after being a favorite things party veteran, I realized since I have a bajillion favorite kitchen gadgets that I can’t not share. These are fantastic as hostess gifts, stocking stuffers, a favorite things party or just for fun! Okay and actually two of these are just over $10, sorry in advance!
Strawberry huller. Speed up your hulling time and reduce food waste from chopping off the whole top portion of strawberries with one of these strawberry hullers. I use this when I make my red, white & blue angel food cake skewers!
Garlic peeler. Nothing is more annoying than trying to remove the peel from garlic – nothing. Roll your garlic clove in this peeler and the peel falls right off! I use this when I make my healthy meatballs over spaghetti squash recipe.
Rocking vegetable chopper. Okay so the first time I saw this was at a place called Bread Zeppelin in the Dallas area where they basically stuff a salad inside fresh bread (it’s AMAZING), and they use these to chop everything together. It is so fast! Use this for salad, mincing herbs or vegetables.
Cherry & olive pitter. Effortlessly serve cherries to guests in a dish or to your kids without having to pit it in your mouth! I use this when I make my honey-glazed, poppy seed salmon salad.
Mini measuring cup
. Need just a few teaspoons or tablespoons of liquid? This little measuring cup is a dream! Word to the wise, don’t put it in the dishwasher regularly or the print will wash off, not that I learned from experience… 🙄
Mango slicer. Cutting around the pit of a mango can be such a drag. A mango slicer makes it super simple to get around the pit without the mango sliding around in your hand, and helps reduce food waste (since you can keep the sides of the mango!).Swedish spreader
. My girl friend’s mom swore by these after living in Sweden, and I loved it so much she gave me one of hers! So I actually love to use this plastic spreader to cut into baked goods without scratching the pan! So sweet breads (like my pumpkin chocolate chip bread or banana bread), brownies or birthday cake.
Watermelon slicer. Another easy-to-use tool if you like sliced watermelon without the mess and turning the watermelon 80 directions trying to slice it right!
The best, cheap chef’s knife. You will die that this super sharp knife is under $10. I used this knife at a cooking school in Thailand, and now I use it interchangeably with my Wusthof.
Shaker. Literally the alternative is trying to sprinkle gracefully with your fingers or shaking a fork around. This works great for homemade spices or sprinkling powdered sugar, cinnamon and sugar, or flour when baking pie crusts.
3-in-1 avocado slicer. Slice it in half, easily get the pit out and make small slices with this avocado slicer! I use this for my easy guacamole recipe.
Reusable popsicle molds or “otter pop” molds
. Make homemade popsicles or otter pops with pureed fruit, chocolate milk, Greek yogurt and fruit, or whatever your heart desires!
Corn on the cob holders
. If you have kids that like to eat off the cob, this is for you. They hook onto each end of the corn cob so you can spin it easily without getting your fingers messy. These are dishwasher safe which makes clean-up easy!
Grapefruit spoon. This is so simple, but I love to use a grapefruit spoon to scrape out the inside of butternut, spaghetti, or acorn squash. You can use it for your Halloween pumpkins too!
Pineapple slicer
. Last but definitely not least is the simplest way to peel, core and slice a pineapple. No more turning it on its head and every which way!
I hope you find some of my favorite kitchen gadgets under $10 useful whether you’re going to a favorite things party, looking for kitchen stocking stuffers or just want to make your kitchen prep life simpler!
